The Golden Lion Hotel, Hunstanton

The hotel's rooms had been furnished with more up-to-date furniture and linen, and the extra chairs and table were a nice touch. However, the overall condition was disappointing with a cracked sink, needed paintwork attention, and old sticky plastic on the door. The service was a mix of excellence and rudeness, with helpful and nice staff but some incidents of being charged for parking and inconvenience. The location was perfect for coastal scenery and Hunstanton attractions, with a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the beach. The dining experience ranged from good with plenty of choices to appalling with cold and oily food and availability issues. No specific comments were made about the facilities.
